The Nandas mel April 2011 at the Diwan Mandir, Nandas' temple, Jammu

It is primarily a religious function consisting of a havan where the Kuldevi and Devta are propitiated, followed by lunch. I understand since 2011 the number of people attending has been growing steadily and people come from many other towns too.
It is held in a separate temple inside the Diwan Mandir, exclusive to Nandas and this premises is run by a trust as can be seen on the red sign-board. The Devta the signboard refers to is Baba Pheru.
An interesting feature is the wall mural which unfortunately has deteriorated.
